Spark Ideas with New Interactive Display

Looking for a cosy and convenient location that is equipped for interactive presentations or discussions? Pop by the Research Commons (Level 2) and try out the brand new interactive display board for your next class or event.

All-in-One Board

The 98-inch display board is connected to the internet and allows users to manipulate data, images, and videos in real-time. Together with its video conferencing capabilities and annotation tools, it is a tablet, personal computer, projector and whiteboard all rolled into one.

Group Discussion Tool

Its multi-touch capabilities enable multiple users to interact with the display simultaneously. Users can also share their screens wirelessly from multiple devices such as laptops and mobile phones. What's more, these shared screens can be concurrently viewed on one display. Together with its interactive whiteboard features, it is ideal for dynamic group discussions.

Hybrid Classroom

Conducting a class where some students are off-site? The display is fitted with a wide-angle web camera that is able to capture the view of the entire classroom. Together with a powerful microphone and speaker, remote students can participate in class discussions and engage in a full classroom experience.

Data Exploration Tool

Besides enhancing teaching, the interactive display is equipped with features that support individual or collaborative data exploration in research. Its 4K Ultra HD resolution and colour accuracy make it suitable for exploring rich geographic information or scientific visualization in mathematics and sciences.

Being able to concurrently display maps, photographs or texts side-by-side for manipulation via tools such as interactive timelines or story maps may enable humanities researchers to present narratives in a compelling manner.
