The final stop of the MOE Heritage Centre’s roving exhibition, Heart of a Teacher, stands as a powerful tribute to educators who have shaped generations of students, leaving lasting impressions on Singapore’s educational landscape.

Spanning eight decades from the 1950s to the present, the exhibition features eight inspiring teachers from each era. Through vibrant visuals and interactive displays, visitors are invited to explore the motivations, challenges, and triumphs that define their teaching vocation and reflect on what it truly means to be a teacher.

The exhibition will be on display on Level 3 of the NIE Library until the end of October.

Milestones & Memories was a special exhibition honouring the rich history of the National Institute of Education (NIE). Visitors were invited on a nostalgic journey through the institute’s evolution, from its early days as the Teachers’ Training College (TTC) to the Institute of Education (IE) and finally to the NIE we know today.

Featuring carefully curated milestones, archival publications, and news articles, the display also included immersive holographic visuals and artefacts. Woven together, these elements told the story of NIE’s enduring legacy and its transformative impact on education in Singapore.
