On Wednesday, 3 September 2025, the NIE Library was transformed into a hub of scholarship and celebration during the NIE 75th Anniversary Book Launch and Panel Discussion.

The event celebrated book publications from 2024 and 2025, recognising the research and scholarship of the NIE community. A webpage and book display featured the wide-ranging works produced over the past two years, reflecting the diversity of thought and expertise within the institution.
Jointly organised by the Office for Research and NIE Library, the afternoon showcased NIE’s scholarly vitality. The programme opened with a ceremony honouring the achievements of the authors and editors with a certificate of appreciation.

Following the launch ceremony, a panel discussion moderated by Associate Professor Loh Chin Ee offered a glimpse into the publishing journeys of the speakers including
Professor Rebecca Ang, Associate Professor Tan Aik Ling, Dr Roszalina Rawi and Associate Professor Edward Park.
From inspiration to impact, each speaker shared reflections on the writing process, the challenges of academic publishing, and the motivations behind their work.
As NIE marks 75 years of educational excellence, the event not only celebrates the publications but also the minds and hearts behind them.
