An Introduction to StackMap

How does StackMap work?

If you search on the Library Portal for an item, you will see a new “Map it” button in the search results or item record for physical items (e.g. a print book) not on loan.

Click on the "Map it" button to see the shelf location map

This will generate a detailed map showing the book’s exact location, including the floor level and the specific shelf range/row. The range/row number labels (e.g., 6A) are displayed at the top of the shelves—keep an eye out for them! Note also the call number (e.g. LB1051 Tan 2017) to identify the correct book to retrieve once you reach the exact shelf.

View the floor level, range/row number of the shelf and call number of the item.

No more wandering the aisles—just straightforward navigation to your next page-turner!
