International visitors to NIE often visit the Library as part of their itinerary.

Visitors from around the world
On 29 May 2024, we welcomed Professor Elaine Munthe, the 4th Dr. Ruth Wong Professor in Teacher Education. Professor Munthe hails from the University of Stavanger, Norway and serves as a Professor of Education and Director for the Knowledge Centre for Education (KCE). She was invited to view the book display that was set up in conjunction with the Dr. Ruth Wong Professorship and the Redesigning Pedagogy International Conference (RPIC) 2024. The display showcased her publications as well as a selection of publications by/about Dr. Ruth Wong, and other keynote speakers of RPIC 2024.
On 15 August 2024, we welcomed a visit by the 2024 Lien Ying Chow Visiting Professor in Education, Professor Sharon Vaughn from the University of Texas.
Professor Vaughn holds the Manuel J. Justiz Endowed Chair in Education and has authored over 40 books and 350 research articles.
She viewed a display featuring a selection of her publications and works.
On 24 Sep 2024, the Library was honoured to host the 16th CJ Koh Professor, Professor Justin Dillon, Professor of Science and Environmental Education at University College London and Guest Professor at Zhejiang University, China. His research interests are in learning in-and-outside of the classroom, climate change and sustainability education.
An AR/VR demo on NIE’s sustainability efforts and features was shared with him and he also viewed a display of his publications. An online bibliography of his publications which are available in the Library was also compiled.
