By now, you may have noticed that the Library Portal is sporting a new look. Underneath the modern veneer, we have made a series of changes to give you a better digital experience. The new Library Portal is more interactive and packed full of useful features to support your studies and research.
The unified search bar on the home page now offers you a direct avenue to search for resources that that you need. You can quickly locate or download books, e-books, examination papers, reports, full-text journal articles. Just enter your keywords and hit enter to begin.
Requesting library services has never been easier! Need to renew your borrowed books before they are due? Want to recommend a newly published or award-winning book for our growing collection? Or perhaps you are looking for the full-text of a journal article? Do all these on the Library portal where all our services are at your fingertips, neatly categorised under the “Services” page.
The revised portal also features a virtual tour that allows online visitors to explore and learn more about our collection and facilities. Clear instructions are also provided to guide first-time visitors to the library.
To find the resources and facilities available in the library, click on “Facilities” or “Resources” on the top menu bar. You will find the information neatly categorised with the location clearly displayed.
Need help citing your sources in APA style or finding journal articles for your literature review? Access the quick guides developed by our librarians to get you started on your research, citation, EndNote and more. These guides have been placed conveniently on the top menu bar for easy access.
Scheduled workshops and library events are also featured prominently on the home page. From there, you can easily find library events that may pique your interest or sign up for our EndNote workshops.
For researchers and faculty, you can also find relevant services under the “Research Support” tab. From here, you can easily access information such as depositing your datasets and publications into our repositories or tools you can use to measure your research performance.
